It’s Not Attempted Murder When We Do It: David Hogg

David Hogg was recently swatted. Which means that someone called the State and requested that they violently attack Continue reading It’s Not Attempted Murder When We Do It: David Hogg

Free Speech Is A Statist Concept

There is no right to free speech. If you believe in the right to non-aggression, you can not consistently also believe in any other right, because at some point that right is going to conflict with someone’s right to non-aggression. And if you believe in “rights” that can conflict with the right to non-aggression, then you don’t really believe in the NAP. The only way to coherently uphold the “right” to free speech is to advocate that the NAP be violated. The only way to enforce free speech is to violate the NAP. Violating the NAP in the name of positive “rights” or some greater good is basically just a high level description of what a government is.

My Mixed Thoughts on How To React to Defensive Force Against Cops

Not that it happens often, but some people make the decision to use defensive force against cops or TSA agents. All force against cops and TSA agents is defensive. If you know me it might not seem like it, but I am torn on how to react to these people. I want to honor them as much as possible, read and post their work if they have any, mock the targets, and say cold shit like referring to the dead targets as a traffic inconvenience. It just seems like the right thing to do. Admittedly, none of these brave men have been anarchists who decreased the number of cops in the world in the name of the NAP. Some of them had probably just had enough. But they have to know that this is a suicide mission, and it strikes me as a mission deserving of respect not contingent on my uneducated opinions on military strategy.

Being a Cop is an Action, Not a Status: All Cops are Guilty of Initiatory Force

In the geographical area occupied by the US at least, being a cop is an action that a person takes. And a person has to continuously take actions to remain a cop. An individual does not wake up one day as a cop either through government dictate or other forms of magic. In order to become a cop a person has to voluntarily go to a government building, express a desire to join a group of people, and fill out some forms. In order to stay a cop, a person has to put on a uniform, wear a badge, show up to certain places at certain times, and self-identify as a cop.

Government Jobs Are Not Necessarily NAP Violations

I like Rothbard’s position https://mises.org/library/living-state-run-world that it is morally permissible to work for the government in an industry that has been monopolized and would exist in the free market. I would like that to be true, because otherwise the State Continue reading Government Jobs Are Not Necessarily NAP Violations

Why Anarchists are Allowed to Drive on Roads

I am often forbidden by statists and minarchists from driving on the roads, have it pointed out that I do drive on the roads, or asked why I drive on the roads. Usually this is presented as an ad hominem, Continue reading Why Anarchists are Allowed to Drive on Roads
