About This Site

My name is Melanie Neighbours. I am an anarchist living in Manchester, New Hampshire with my husband Bob.

This site is dedicated to discussing and advocating anarchist philosophy, or the Non-Aggression Principle. The NAP is not a full life philosophy, and it is entirely possible to be a morally heinous human being who is fully compliant with the NAP. But the NAP is a prerequisite to any moral system or society, and so I defend it.

The State is the most evil organization ever to exist. The main function of the State is to initiate force. In addition to the more visible rampant violence it carries out, just by legislating victimless crimes and maintaining standing enforcers the State is an active threat to everyone within its reach.

Because the State is so evil and such a threat, I support personal behaviors and social structures that are conducive to anarchy. Therefore, I am morally conservative.
